Retirement Gets Harder the Longer You Wait

When President Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he was ending his campaign for reelection, he took pains to describe his choice as one meant to serve the greater good. “I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country,” he wrote in a statement. His decision seemed calculated to prioritize the health of the nation over his own self-interest—and, perhaps, above his own mental and physical well-being.

it’s hard to even think about retiring to give up this powerful position that has become a symbol of strength for them,” Sarah Damaske said. The idea of being president is so much more than just about running a country. It’s about him or her not only doing things but also being seen doing them. So when Joe Biden made the decision to run again from a position of power he held for eight years, he had probably considered all these factors (the good and the bad) before deciding on his course in life.

In order to protect his reputation as someone who will always do what’s right,” Biden went back into politics against his own judgment even though he could have opted for retirement instead considering his condition at this time (whenever that happens). At least that must have crossed his mind since taking care of oneself is really important indeed!

“Such decisions are rarely made without much thought,” Damaske said about presidential elections because they are power struggles rather than elections as far as she is concerned; therefore, they need strategic moves that command public adulation besides followers’ loyalty to their followers as demonstrated by past presidents. The head of state should consider each item especially when selecting potential successors; hence instead of uprooting a former branch on which he/she sits if given another chance at governance there will be more introspection involved before making any moves either way which might lead to this branch being cut off.

In conclusion

after all these things, one may wonder whether or not his actions could be considered good for American democracy in future elections since they go against everything that people expect from political leaders today like honesty integrity fraternity togetherness communalism etc?
